Year 7 Students Excel in Sports

Our Year 7 students have been showing exceptional talent and determination across a variety of sports recently, achieving remarkable success in netball, dance, swimming and more. From impressive victories to leadership roles, these young athletes are setting the bar high.

Elsie and her performance team really made their mark at the London Pulse netball tournament, remaining unbeaten after an intense day of competition. They played against some of the top U12 teams from across the country, winning all eight of their matches. Their outstanding performance has earned them a spot in the finals, which will take place in May at the iconic Copper Box Olympic Stadium, followed by a thrilling Netball Super League game. We couldn’t be more excited for Elsie and her team as they prepare for this unforgettable experience!

Millie has also been excelling, competing in a regional dance competition where she stole the show. She earned first place for her exceptional commercial solo performance, and she and her team also took the top spot with their troupe dance. Both performances have secured places in the National Championships. Millie’s hard work and talent are evident, and we can’t wait to see how she does on the national stage.

Roisin has been making waves, earning trophies for both the 100m Breaststroke and 200m Freestyle at the Rugby Swimming Club’s recent presentation evening. She has also been appointed as the Junior Swimming Captain for 2025, a newly introduced role at the club. Her positive attitude and commitment to helping younger swimmers were highlighted by the club’s chair, who praised her for always being ready to assist on poolside. We’re incredibly proud of Roisin’s leadership and athletic achievements.

Mrs Warrillow, Kingsley’s Head of Sport, commented: “It’s inspiring to see our Year 7 students excelling in both individual and team sports. Elsie, Millie and Roisin have not only demonstrated outstanding athletic ability, but also a commitment to teamwork and personal growth. These achievements are a testament to their hard work, and we’re so proud of them.”
