About Us

140-Year Legacy

For 140 years, The Kingsley School has been a place where students can truly flourish. We are proud of our rich history and dedication to providing an exceptional education that prioritises academic excellence, personal growth, wellbeing, and a love for learning.

A Seamless Educational Journey

The Kingsley School offers a through-school experience where children can join us from the age of 3 in our Prep School, seamlessly transition to our Senior School in Year 7, and continue their education in our Sixth Form. This structure provides continuity and stability throughout their formative years, fostering deep, long-lasting relationships and a strong sense of community. Our consistent educational philosophy and industry-leading academics support both academic success and personal development.

Commitment to Student Wellbeing and Pastoral Care

Student wellbeing is at the heart of The Kingsley School. Our small class sizes enable us to cater to the individual needs of each student, ensuring personalised learning experiences. Our hands-on approach ensures that students receive the appropriate level of support to help them achieve their full potential, whether that involves additional language support or the opportunity to take qualifications early.

Our renowned pastoral care system places students’ wellbeing at the centre of everything we do. Our experienced tutors provide outstanding teaching alongside personalised pastoral and academic care, fostering a community where students feel safe, confident, and supported. This nurturing environment helps build self-belief and happiness, which are crucial for academic and personal success.

Academic Achievement

At The Kingsley School, we foster a flexible and caring environment where every child is recognised as an individual, and their unique abilities are encouraged. Our curriculum, while based on the National Curriculum, is designed to be both broad and flexible. At GCSE level, students typically sit public examinations in core subjects, including English, English Literature, mathematics, the sciences, humanities, and a modern foreign language. Additionally, we offer subjects such as Spanish, Latin, classical civilisation, creative media, and drama, along with various design technology courses, including food and textiles.

Our academic results speak volumes about our commitment to excellence. In 2023, an impressive 44% of our students achieved grades 9-7 (A*–A equivalent) at GCSE, far surpassing the Midlands’ average of 18%. This success is a testament to the dedication of our staff and the supportive learning environment we provide.

Learning Beyond the Classroom

The Kingsley School has a strong tradition of nurturing the diverse interests and talents of our students. From music and sport to drama and outdoor pursuits, we offer a range of activities designed to complement academic learning and promote personal growth, for example;

Music: Our comprehensive music programme allows Year 7 students to learn an instrument of their choice, in addition to this, students benefit from both on-site and the exceptional facilities at the Warwick Schools Foundation.
Sport: With a brand-new fitness suite and 17-acre sports fields, our students have ample opportunities to excel in various sports. Our dedicated team has recently been nominated for two sports awards.
Round Square: As the only member of the international Round Square organisation in the Midlands, we offer global collaboration opportunities, including student exchanges and international projects. Learn more about Round Square.
