On Thursday, 8 February, Amelie had the fantastic experience of performing side-by-side with the professional Swan Orchestra at the ‘Pictures at an Exhibition’ concert at Warwick Hall.
The concert featured the gifted Jeneba Kanneh-Mason, who performed Mozart’s Piano Concerto No. 23, while Amelie performed Tchaikovsky’s Nutcracker Suite alongside other Foundation students and the Swan players.
The concert was held as part of the ongoing partnership between Warwick Schools Foundation and Orchestra of the Swan, with this partnership also facilitating this unique opportunity for Foundation pupils.
14 Foundation students performed in the side-by-side performance, with Amelie playing the flute. She, and the other pupils, performed excellently in front of a packed audience.
Amelie had worked extremely hard to prepare for the concert, and her performance was truly a credit to herself.
The final concert of the season at Warwick Hall, ‘Songs of Innocence and Experience’, takes place on Thursday, 27 June.
