We are delighted to be welcoming Rebecca Miller to Warwick Schools Foundation throughout the academic year, giving Foundation pupils the chance to take part in conducting workshops with her.
Rebecca is Principal Conductor of the Bishop’s Stortford Sinfonia, Principal Conductor of the Royal Orchestral Society, Director of Orchestras at Royal Holloway University, and Principal Guest Conductor of the Orchestra of the Swan. She was also most recently Chief Conductor of the Uppsala Chamber Orchestra from 2019-23.
Her conducting experience is extensive; most recently, Rebecca has guest conducted for the likes of BBC National Orchestra of Wales, Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment and London Philharmonic Orchestra. This list is by no means exhaustive, however, as she has conducted for a plethora of internationally established orchestras throughout her career.
Renowned for her extensive work with young musicians, Rebecca is now coming to Warwick Schools Foundation; providing a highly unique opportunity for our pupils to gather first-hand conducting knowledge and experience with an internationally respected conductor. Conducting experience is becoming increasingly difficult for many students across the country to obtain; this is something that we recognise, which only adds to our excitement about this unique and valuable opportunity.
